Minecraft in Bangladesh: Prices, Payment, Servers and Ping

Playing Minecraft from Bangladesh is mostly like playing anywhere else, with three differences: paying for it, ping to servers abroad, and the fact that most players here are on Android phones rather than PCs. This section deals with those three things. Everything else (recipes, mobs, farms) works the same, and lives in the main guides.

Buying the game

The mobile version from Google Play is how most Bangladeshi players start. It’s Bedrock Edition, it gets the same updates as every other platform, and it usually costs far less than the PC version. Minecraft price in Bangladesh explains how local pricing works and where to check today’s figure.

Payment is where people get stuck. Google Play’s help pages list cards (Visa, Mastercard and others) as the payment method for countries like Bangladesh, and plenty of players don’t have a card that works for international payments. How to buy Minecraft with bKash is honest about what works and what doesn’t. In particular, the “Play gift card for bKash” advice doesn’t work the way sellers claim, because Google gift cards only redeem on accounts from the country they were sold for.

Playing online

Most big Minecraft servers are hosted in Europe and North America, which is a long way from Dhaka. Closer servers, usually in Singapore or India, feel much better for anything fast-paced. Best Minecraft servers for Bangladesh players shows how to measure your ping and pick servers that play well from here, without a list of addresses that goes stale in a month.

For a small friend group, a Realm or your own server is often the best option. See Minecraft Realms and how to make a Minecraft server.

Finding other players

There’s no official Minecraft community for Bangladesh. Players organize themselves in Facebook groups, Discord servers and on YouTube. Minecraft Bangladesh: community and events explains how to find active groups and spot the scams that circulate in them.

Two warnings

Never buy a “Minecraft account” from a seller. It belongs to someone else, who can take it back. And never give your Microsoft, Google or bKash PIN or password to anyone selling codes. A real seller only needs to send you a code. More account safety tips are in Minecraft accounts and security.
