How Much Does Minecraft Cost in 2026? Every Device Priced
Minecraft costs $29.99 on PC for Java and Bedrock together, and from $6.99 on mobile (US prices, November 2026). Consoles, extras, and local prices.
Minecraft is a one-time purchase. On PC, $29.99 buys Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition (both editions), and the mobile version starts at $6.99. Console and Chromebook versions sit in between. Those are US prices, checked in November 2026. Most other countries pay a different local price, so always trust the price on your own store page.

The Minecraft Wiki lists the Bedrock price range as $6.99 to $39.99 across all its platforms, which is why we give “from” figures. Bundles with Minecoins, skin packs or Minecraft Dungeons cost more than the base game. Look for the plain “Minecraft” listing if you only want the game.
Subscriptions that include it
PC Game Pass and some Xbox Game Pass tiers have included Minecraft. That’s access, not ownership: when the subscription ends, so does the game. If you mainly play Minecraft, buying it works out cheaper within a year or so.
What costs extra (all optional)
- Realms: Mojang’s private servers. Bedrock Realms have a smaller plan and Realms Plus; Java has one plan. Recent US listings show $3.99 a month for the small Bedrock plan and $7.99 for Realms Plus and Java Realms, but check minecraft.net before subscribing. Minecraft Realms explains the plans.
- Marketplace content on Bedrock, paid with Minecoins. Many items are free; the paid ones are cosmetic or extra maps. Minecraft gift cards explains how Minecoins work.
- Online subscriptions on consoles: Xbox Game Pass Essential or higher, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online for online multiplayer.
Mods, community servers and most texture packs on Java are free.
Why your price looks different
Google Play, the App Store and console stores set prices for each country, and those don’t track the dollar exactly. The PC version is sold by Microsoft and also has local prices in many countries. How much is Minecraft Java Edition?
Java comes bundled with Bedrock as Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC, which was $29.99 in the US store when we checked in November 2026. There's no cheaper Java-only option.
Why is Minecraft cheaper on my phone?
Mobile stores set lower prices for the phone version, and Google and Apple also adjust prices for each country. The price on your store listing is the one you'll pay.
